Ladies North East League
Ladies Captain Brenda Foster writes: Alas Scarborough Ladies lost out to North Cave on Saturday losing 3 rinks and winning just the one.
With an overall score 68 - 71 it was a tight game all the way.
This means that The Scarborough Ladies finished in 5th place this season, but I am sure they have all enjoyed the games they have played.
Better luck for next season.

Scarborough Ladies finished third in 'A' division. Well done to the team, from Brenda & Julie.
Ladies Yorkshire League results
Scarborough ladies finished the Yorkshire League season today with a 75 - 73 victory over Thornaby.
After a hard fought game on all 4 rinks Scarborough won 2 rinks drew 1 rink and lost 1 rink. It was all down to this game as to whether the ladies stayed in "A" division or went into "B" division.
After a hard fought season and this final win the ladies remain in "A" division. Well done ladies.
Let look forward to the summer break. Those playing outdoors hope you have a good summer. Looking forward to seeing you all again in September. Good luck wherever you play.

Scarborough's North East Ladies are currently 2nd in their league - congratulations to all the team from Ladies Captain, Brenda Foster.

Yet another good day for the Scarborough ladies on Saturday. This time winning both home rinks but losing both away rinks to come out winners against York with an overall score of 89 - 86.
This was another hard fought fixture but one enjoyed by both teams.
A welcome to the side to Pat Cross who skipping for the first time led her team well.
We now look forward to March when we meet North Cave 0n 24th March, to round off yet another season. Where has the time gone, it seems to have flown by.

Ladies Yorkshire League February results
Scarborough Ladies came away with a good draw in the Yorkshire Ladies League on Saturday 11th February. Winning one rink away and one at home we managed a draw of 72 - 72. This was a hard fought fixture but well done to the Scarborough Ladies.
It was a very scenic journey to York with snow still all around.
We now look forward to meeting York again next Saturday in the Ladies North Eastern League.

Ladies Yorkshire League January results
The Scarborough Ladies played Ryedale ladies in the Ladies Yorkshire League on the 14th January 2012.
It was not to be the day for Scarborough as we lost by 76 - 85.
Not a good day for the 2 home teams both losing out, but a big well done to the away teams who both had good wins at Ryedale.
We are now looking forward to playing York in the next game on 11th February.

Ladies enjoy a great day playing against the England Ladies Team

Scarborough Ladies enjoyed a great day playing in a friendly against the England Ladies team on Friday 25th November. When this game was first arranged, at the International at Stanley in March we were unaware of the tragic circumstances that were about to unfold during the early summer, with the passing of Carole McLean, our international and England player. This meant that the game became part of the Charity week that Scarborough Indoor Bowls Centre are running in honour of Carole. We started with a minutes silence in rememberance, before playing a very enjoyable game. Scarborough coming out the winners by 86 shots to 65. Many are to be thanked for their hard work in bringing this game about, and we hope to have the ladies back at a future date.
